はたらく魔王さま! Hataraku Maō-sama, lit. Working Demon King! or Demon Lord at Work!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published eight volumes since February 2011. The story is about a demon king named Satan seeking to conquer the world of Ente Isla but, when confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina, is forced to retreat through a portal that transports him to modern day Tokyo, Japan. To survive and find a way to return to Ente Isla, Satan gains part-time employment at a fast food restaurant. There have been two manga adaptations published by ASCII Media Works in Dengeki Daioh and Dengeki Maoh. A 13-episode anime adaptation produced by White Fox and directed by Naoto Hosoda aired between April and June 2013.

Plot

The Demon Lord and one of his generals, Alciel, escape Ente Isla through a portal to modern Tokyo, Japan after being confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina and her companions. However, due to the lack of magic in the modern contemporary world, both the Demon Lord and Alciel change into forms representing what they would look like if they were human. In order to survive, the Demon Lord takes a part-time job in a fast food restaurant named MgRonald while Alciel serves as his houseman. One day, the Demon Lord, who now goes by Sadao Maō, meets a girl who is actually the Hero Emilia, who now goes by Emi Yusa. The story then unfolds and explores the personalities of each of the characters and their moral values. More characters show up from Ente Isla and they too face the new world dilemmas, often comically.

Plot

In the distant future, mankind has taken to the stars and formed the Galactic Alliance of Humankind (人類銀河同盟 Jinrui Ginga Dōmei?). The Alliance is engaged in a perpetual war with a tentacled alien species known as the Hideauze (ヒディアーズ Hidiāzu). 16-year-old Ensign Ledo is a soldier in the Galactic Alliance, piloting a Machine Caliber (マシンキャリバー Mashin Kyaribā), an AI-automated, humanoid-shaped battle suit, which he refers to as 'Chamber'. After a failed attempt by the Alliance forces to destroy an enemy super-weapon, Ledo is knocked into a wormhole and loses consciousness. When he awakens, he learns from Chamber that he has been in cryo-stasis for 6 months while his wounds were healing. Ledo learns that he and Chamber have been 'found' by a rag-tag band of 'primitive' human scavengers. Ledo quickly discovers that he is on board a massive fleet of ships on an ocean-covered planet. Chamber tells him that local star charts reveal the planet is Earth, the birthplace of humanity, a place that members of the Alliance were only familiar with from stories and believed was a myth.

ハヤテのごとく! Hayate the Combat Butler

is a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata, about a boy who starts a new job as a butler and the events he experiences with his employer. Shogakukan have released 34 volumes in Japan. The English edition of the series has been licensed by Viz Media for distribution in North America. The style of the manga has a comedic gag with a slight haremfeel and constantly breaks the fourth wall. The series includes numerous references to other anime, manga, video games, and popular culture.

A 52-episode anime adaptation of the manga by SynergySP aired between April 2007 and March 2008 on TV Tokyo. A second, 25-episode anime season by J.C.Staff aired between April and September 2009. Bandai Entertainment licensed the first anime series in 2008, but the series went out of print in 2012. An anime film adaption produced by Manglobe was released in August 2011. A third, 12-episode anime television series by Manglobe, based mostly on an original story not seen in the manga aired between October and December 2012. Plot

Hayate Ayasaki is an unlucky teenager who has worked since childhood to make ends meet due to his parents' irresponsible behavior. One day on Christmas Eve, he finds out that his parents were planning to sell his organs to the Yakuza to make money, leaving behind a massive gambling debt on his shoulders of ¥156,804,000. While running away from the debt collectors he ends up meeting Nagi Sanzenin, a young girl who is the sole heir of the wealthy Sanzenin estate, and due to a misunderstanding, Nagi ends up falling in love with Hayate. After he rescues Nagi from some kidnappers, she hires Hayate as her new butler.

Aside from performing his ordinary duties as a butler, Hayate must fight to protect Nagi from harm, a difficult task since her life is always in danger because she is the target of other individuals coveting her family's fortune, and sometimes deal with some extravagant requests from her, oblivious to Nagi's true feelings for him. In the later story, Hayate has to deal with the feelings of several other girls, Ayumu Nishizawa; his former classmate who harbors a crush on him, and Hinagiku Katsura; the student council president of Hakuō Academy who ends up growing attached to him. Hayate had a romantic relationship with a childhood friend, Athena Tennousu, who is chairwoman of the board of Hakuō Academy.

Due to a series of events involving Hayate, Nagi, and Athena during Golden Week, Nagi ends up forfeiting her inheritance. With the last of her savings, Nagi moves with Hayate and her maid Maria to an old apartment building called "Violet Mansion" owned by her late mother, Yukariko, and rents its extra rooms for income: having Chiharu Harukaze; the secretary of Hakuō Academy, Hinagiku, Athena (in child-form), Kayura Tsurugino; an "elite otaku", Ruka Suirenji; a "singing idol" who develops feelings for Hayate, and Ayumu, as its tenants.

Psycho-Pass(サイコパス)

is a Japanese anime television series by Production I.G. The series aired on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block between October 2012 and March 2013 and has been licensed by Funimation Entertainment in North America. A manga adaptation began serialization in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine from November 2012. The story takes place in the near future where it is possible to instantaneously measure a person's mental state, personality, and the probability that a person will commit crimes with a device installed on each citizen's body called the Psycho-Pass. It follows members of Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division and the crimes they investigate.

逆転裁判 Ace Attorney

Ace Attorney (逆転裁判)is a 2012 Japanese courtroom drama film, directed by Takashi Miike and based on Capcom's video game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The film stars Hiroki Narimiya, Mirei Kiritani, and Takumi Saito, and was released in Japanese cinemas on 11 February 2012.[1] It screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam before that. It will premiere in America at the AM2 Convention in Anaheim, California.Miike has stated there are plans for an international release with both dubbing and subtitles available for each specific region.



Plot
With the storyline based primarily on the first game in the Ace Attorney series (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney), the series' signature style is combined with a courtroom drama. Rookie defense attorney Phoenix Wright strives to protect his clients in various murder trials, including the death of his mentor, Mia Fey and the accusation of rival prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. Wright's greatest ally is Mia's younger sister Maya Fey, a spirit medium whose body is possessed by Mia to communicate with him. Wright is later given the task of solving the DL-6 case, a murder that has not been solved for 15 years. He will also go against Manfred von Karma, a prosecuting attorney who has not lost a case in 40 years. Sci-fi elements are also used, such as characters bringing up holographic images of evidence during trials.

Differences from the game
In the original game, there were four cases in total, namely: The First Turnabout, Turnabout Sisters, Turnabout Samurai, and Turnabout Goodbyes. The film however, only focuses primarily on Turnabout Sisters and Turnabout Goodbyes with slight differences in plot. The beginning of the film showed Phoenix Wright participating in The First Turnabout with Miles Edgeworth participating in Turnabout Samurai concurrently. This is different from the game, whereby Turnabout Samurai takes place a few weeks after The First Turnabout. In addition, Phoenix Wright was not the defending attorney in Turnabout Samurai, instead the defending attorney was played by a miscellaneous character in the film. For the Turnabout Sisters segment of the film, there were numerous differences. Firstly, in the game the eyewitness was April May, however in the film the eye-witness was Redd White. The segment also excluded numerous details from the game, including the series of events with regards to the DL-6 Incident that took place outside of court were all not portrayed. Following that, during Turnabout Goodbyes, White was to be called upon by Wright as a witness in a trial unfortunately White was poisoned in jail. In the game, there was no mention about White following his arrest in Turnabout Sisters. For the DL-6 Incident, the murder of Gregory Edgeworth did not take place in a lift like in the game, rather it took place in the court's evidence room. In the game, Yanni Yogi was just an innocent Baliff who happened to be in the lift at the same time as the Edgeworths, but in the film Yogi was confronting Gregory Edgeworth in the evidence room who was trying to illegally retrieve evidence.

As Yumeji decides to help her, the gate to the world of dreams opens again, this time in full daylight. She appears in the daydream world and wards off the Dream Demon "Chaser John Doe" looking for an answer to how to get back to her world. It seems as if John Doe knows something about Merry. エウレカセブンAO は終わった

Eureka Seven: AO (エウレカセブンAO Astral Ocean) is a 2012 Japanese mecha anime television series by Bones, serving as a sequel to the original Eureka Seven anime. AO tells the story of Ao Fukai, a young boy who "sets destiny in motion again when he held the power." It is being adapted into both an anime and a manga.

On December 22, 2011, Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced that a sequel manga titled Eureka Seven: AO would be launched in their January 26 issue. Yūichi Katō is drawing the manga based on the original story by BONES. Later that same day, an anime adaption of the manga was announced, and began airing on April 12, 2012, on MBS. The anime has been licensed for streaming and home video release by Funimation Entertainment who will stream the series on the video site.

Originally set to air its last episode on September 27, 2012, the series went on a two week hiatus due to the 2012 Summer Olympics, thus ending its run on the third-to-last episode. The two final episodes were broadcast on November 19, 2012.

Plot

Ao Fukai is a 13-year-old boy living in the year 2025 in Okinawa on the island of Iwato Jima with Dr. Toshio Fukai ever since Ao's mother Eureka disappeared 10 years ago. Daily Lives of High School Boys (男子高校生の日常 Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō) is an on-going Japanese manga series written by Yasunobu Yamauchi. The manga was first published on the online magazine GANGAN ONLINE on May 21, 2009, and was adapted into an anime series in 2012.

Plot

High-school boys are really simple and curious creatures. They want one and only one thing: girls. But they haven’t got a clue about them. Male teenagers are dumbfounded by the girls’ thought process, actions, appearance and everything in between. They spend countless hours amongst themselves discussing and arguing their theories which are usually completely off base. If only they had the courage to ask them instead of screwing around and talking about nonsensical things, they might get somewhere.

Guilty Crown (ギルティクラウン ) is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G which airs on Fuji TV's noitaminA program block in October 2011.The story of Guilty Crown is set in 2039 and revolves around Shu Ouma, a boy who has acquired an ability called the "The Power of Kings" that allows him to draw out tools or weapons from another person called "voids". He joins a resistance group named "Undertakers" which aims to restore Japan's independence from an international organization known as the GHQ.
A manga adaptation issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan began serialization in November 2011. A spin-off visual novel tentatively named Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas is being developed by Nitroplus for the PC.

On Christmas Eve, 2029, the unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the "Lost Christmas" incident.An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.
Ten years later in 2039, Shu Ouma, a 17-year-old high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer of Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places before heading home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers another side of her: she is a member of The Undertakers, a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Shu inadvertently gets involved with The Undertakers and the King's Mark appears on his right hand after the Void Genome canister in his pocket broke. This mark bestows him the power to reach inside another person's heart to extract and materialize a weapon or item from it.[2] The anime tells the story of Shu's reluctant involvement with The Undertakers and the hardship involving the battles they fight and the lost truth of Shu's past.

Aquarion Evol (アクエリオンEVOL )

Aquarion Evol (アクエリオンEVOL ) is the sequel to the 2005 anime series Genesis of Aquarion. It was originally announced on February 25, 2011, by the production staff. It aired on TV Tokyo from January to June, 2012 and its premiere featured an hour-long special that combined the first two episodes in a single broadcast.

The story is set in the same universe as the original Genesis of Aquarion, and takes place twelve thousand years after. The protagonists live on a planet called Vega, while most of the antagonists originate from its "sister planet", Altair. The main character, Amata Sora, a young man that has kept his ability to fly a secret since youth, meets a girl named Mikono Suzushiro, and they become fast friends. However, invaders from Altair begin large-scale attacks against Vega, forcing Amata and Mikono into a long battle for the planet as members of an organization called Neo-DEAVA. There they, along with other young men and women called Elements who also possess special powers, are recruited to pilot giant robots called Aquaria in the defense of Vega.

Like the original, the themes of love, mutual understanding, and individual growth play an important role in the story, albeit in different ways. For example, a prohibition on romance is enacted on the members of Neo-DEAVA for the duration of the series. The main characters are again reincarnations of the legendary beings described in Aquarion, and much of the latter half of the series works to establish connections with the series' predecessor.

Plot summary

Twelve thousand years after the events of Genesis of Aquarion, mankind living on the planet Vega (ヴェーガ Vēga?) is threatened by a new enemy from the planet Altair (アルテア界 Arutea Kai?) whose female population was wiped out by a mysterious disease called the Curse of Eve (イヴの呪い Ivu no Noroi?). The Alteans using their "Abductors", just like the Shadow Angels, invade the cities in Vega to kidnap its female inhabitants, looking for a way to ensure the preservation of their race.

To defend against the invasion, the Neo-DEAVA (ネオ・ディーバ Neo Dība?) organization establishes two teams, one composed of only males and other of only females, each one piloting their own giant machines called "Aquaria". To protect their new friend Mikono, teenager Amata Sora makes use of the power he has kept in secret his entire life and by combining Vectors with male and female pilots into one single robot, the legendary giant Aquarion is reborn.

アクセル・ワールは終わった！

Accel World (アクセル・ワールド Akuseru Wārudo) is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by HiMA. It has been adapted into two manga series, both published in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko Magazine. A 24-episode anime adaptation by Sunrise aired in Japan between April and September 2012. It will also be adapted into two video games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, The first of these, Accel World: Awakening of the Silver Wings (アクセル・ワールド ─銀翼の覚醒─ Akuseru Wārudo -Gin'yoku no Kakusei-), was released in Japan on September 13, 2012 for both PS3 and PSP.



Plot

In the year 2046, Neuro-synchronization, a technology system that allows humans to manipulate their five senses, has become widespread to the point where people can access the Internet and enter virtual worlds through a device known as a Neuro-Linker. Haruyuki "Haru" Arita is a short, fat boy who has low-self esteem due to constant bullying. To escape the torment of real life, he logs in to the school's virtual world network where he plays squash alone and always gets the highest score.
One day, Haru attracts the attention of the Student Council Vice-President "Kuroyukihime" (via his high score on the school's local network squash minigame) who offers him Brain Burst, a secret program which allows a person to make time appear to stand still in their surroundings by "accelerating" their brainwaves in the real world. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how many times a person can accelerate since each acceleration costs Burst Points, and the primary way to get more points is to fight and defeat other Brain Burst users in the program's virtual reality massive multiplayer online (VRMMO) fighting game. However, if a user loses all of his or her points, the Brain Burst program will uninstall itself and block all re-installation attempts, thus permanently removing the user's ability to accelerate. In addition, a Brain Burst user may only distribute a single copy of the game. Due to the nature of Brain Burst, the installation may fail if certain conditions are not met. In order to successfully install and use Brain Burst, a prospective user must have a Neuro-Linker installed at birth and must be able to handle heightened brain activity. The one-distribution-per-user rule applies even if an installation fails. Users of Brain Burst are known as "Burst Linkers".
Kuroyukihime wants Haru's help as she wishes to reach the highest achievable level, which is level 10, and meet the creator of Brain Burst in order to learn its true purpose, but in order to do that, she must defeat five other level 9 users who are known as "The Six Kings of Pure Color," the leaders of the six most powerful factions in the Brain Burst world. Haru agrees to help Kuroyukihime to repay her as well as overcome his weaknesses.

神様のメモ帳 (Kami-sama no Memo-chō)は終わった！

Heaven's Memo Pad (神様のメモ帳 Kami-sama no Memo-chō?, lit. "God's Memo Pad") is a Japanese light novel series written by Hikaru Sugii, with illustrations by Mel Kishida. The first volume was published in January 2007, and as of September 2011, eight volumes have been released by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tiv was serialized between the August 2010 and September 2012 issues of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh magazine. An anime adaptation aired 12 episodes in Japan between July and September 2011.



Plot

The story centers around Narumi Fujishima, the main protagonist. He is a high school student who is not very involved in his school whatsoever to the point where he does not know most of his classmate's names. However, in a chain of events, he is pulled into participating in his school's "Gardening Committee" whose members consist of himself and Ayaka Shinozaki, Narumi's classmate. He also gets dragged in as a member of NEET, an amateur detective agency filled with unemployed slack-offs who take on and solve cases on their own whims. The NEET agency is lead by "Alice", who is a childish, anti-social, extreme shut-in. This is to the point where she never leaves her room filled with computer monitors and stuffed animals. Alice has proven herself a resourceful hacker and an astounding detective, which she normally uses to a decent extent on all their cases. Throughout the course of the story, Narumi, accompanied by the other members of the NEET, solve crimes and murders using their limited resources and Alice's genius intellect.
